- Introduction
- Years ago I dabbled in stained glass. I have also done a little work with fused glass and love it ... I've also started to do some beading and would love to learn to make some specialty pieces.
- Please take a moment to share what glass means to you. Why glass?

I have always loved glass and collected it. I have enjoyed stained glass and just a bit of fused glass. I enjoy the play of light, colors and depth that appear in glass art.
- What type(s) of glass art are you interested in pursuing?

fused glass and hopefully bead work
- What type(s) of glass art do you do now, e.g. stained glass, flameworking, kiln forming, fusing, cold working, blown glass?

limited experience with stained glass and fused glass
- Are you interested in taking or teaching glass art classes?

I would love to take classes ... I'm too much of a novice to be of any help teaching at this time.

“ This was my first time with this group. It is a relatively new group that is still getting it's bearings. That said, the organizer is a good facilitator making sure that no one person takes over and keeping the discussion focused on the topic at hand. There seemed to be good give and take on the topics being discussed. I look forward to more meetups with this group in the future. ”

“ Thanks Barb! I didn't think it would ever come and I guess I thought it would get cancelled again. On Thursday before the surgery, the phone rang and my husband and I just stared at each other as Durham Hospital told me my records were wrong and that I was scheduled for 3/31 but Cigna authorized 4/1. And that Cigna authorized lapband and not gastric. I just couldn't believe it. Hours later it all got fixed but it was just unreal. ”
