Annealing Process

Hi Ya All,
I am very proud of myself, I made my first glass beads over the weekend. My son and I watched a beginning video and were actually able to create. I will post a photo as soon as possible. But it is my understanding that we did it incorectly. We used a flame blanket to cool our beads. I bought a paragon kiln, but I guess I am a little afraid of screwing it up as I haven't started it up yet. I was wondering if I could get a little help and advice from everyone on best practices and procedure.
