Hollander Glass has welcomed me to bring five of our members on a tour of their warehouse. They will not assist us with a tour, but we are welcome to browse and see all the wonderful glass available. Though they recently reorganized, I know my way around somewhat and can show you where fusible glass begins and ends. They have much more non fusible than fusible. They also carry frits, stringers and noodles and a variety of tools and other stained glass supplies including pattern and other books.

Hollander is a wholesale store only. If you would like to consider a whole sale account with them, they require a $600. minimum first time oder and $100. minimum after that. This trip is just for the fun of it, but if anyone would like to make a purchase on my account while we are there, a 25% charge will be added to the wholesale price plus tax. Wholesale prices range from $1.14 per sq ft for 3mm clear to $8.84 for spirit. Glass is sold in 24"X24" and 24"X48" pieces. Prices are not always clearly marked but I have a previous invoice for a bit of a reference.

We'll meet for lunch prior to the trip to the warehouse. Bring something new you've made or tell about your up coming projects. Location for lunch is yet to be decided. I'd like to find something near the warehouse. Hollander is located at 5455 Guhn Rd. 77040 their ph number is 713 460 1324 If you have a lunch spot ideas please share.

This place is very dusty dirty. There is a bathroom to wash up in, but be warned that your hands will get dirty if you touch anything. Dress with this in mind as well.

Please understand that ONLY FIVE people can come. I am going to leave the limit wide open to see who has an interest as I would be happy to schedule another trip if there are any who want to go but don't make this trip. The first five to sign up will be the ones to come on May 21st.

Hollander is beefing up their fusible glass section and offer more now than they ever have. They are looking into carrying molds as well. At this time, they carry 960 and 900 COE. Beaders and lampworkers may want to encourage them to carry your preffered COE and other products necessary for your art. Come see what they have and enjoy sharing about our passion for glass over lunch.

    •  What a fun loving bunch of ladies. I so enjoyed each one of them. Lunch at Red Oinion was delicous, but very noisy. Hollaner Glass is always fun to shop. I was dissapointed in the prices, but I know shipping has sky rocketed along with the price of gas. We'll do this one again in a month or two if there is interest.
